With the theme “Essence of Vietnamese Áo Dài,” the Hanoi Áo Dài Festival 2016 will take place from October 14 to 16, featuring many meaningful cultural activities.
Notably, hundreds of áo dài designs from over 30 professional designers from all three regions of the country will be showcased at the Đoan Môn Square – Thăng Long Imperial Citadel (on the evening of October 15). Additionally, more than 100 models and students in áo dài will “parade” through the streets surrounding the Imperial Citadel on cyclo and bicycle on the morning of October 16.
At the press conference, designer Lan Hương presented a collection inspired by Đông Hồ paintings and the gates of Hanoi, embroidered on silk. This trend is being embraced by many designers in their áo dài collections for the Hanoi Áo Dài Festival 2016.
